Racing
for Corey is a non-profit organization established in the
memory of Corey Hanchar. Corey lost his fight for life but will
live forever in the hearts of those he touched. Corey, through the, was granted his wish with the
assistance of many. Racing for Corey
will continue to support and raise funds for the Indiana Children's
Wish Fund as well as establish relationships with "Wish"
granting organizations, for children who suffer from life-threatening
illnesses, throughout the country at Indy Racing League events.
Racing for
Corey is
a program designed to bring together the sport of auto racing and kids
suffering from life-threatening illnesses, in hopes of lightening the
hearts and minds of these brave kids - if only for a moment - while
inspiring the to stay strong and hold onto their dreams. Through Racing
for Corey,
race-theme events are organized to entertain the wish-granting
organizations across the country, with an exclusive "meet and
greet" session with celebrity race car drivers.
Over the last three years, over
2,000 children have enjoyed their own racing experience at Indy Racing
League events. Events have been held for the children as well as
their family members throughout the country. Racing
for Corey's goal is to raise funds for the Indiana
Children's Wish Fund, a wish granting organization for special
Indiana children who suffer from life-threatening illness. The
children are between the ages of 3-18 years. Racing
for Corey will also provide an opportunity for these special
children in Indiana and throughout the country to experience racing,
meet drivers, sit in the race cars, and enjoy quality time with the
whole family.
Our funding is made possible
through the support of corporate donations, individuals, and fund
raising events.
